Trash Service & Recycling

The City of Burden contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection. The City of Burden does not offer recycling. Everyone within the city limits is required to have garbage collection.

CITY REFUSE WILL BE PICKED UP EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. Trash carts should be set out by 6 am or the night before to ensure pickup.

Most trash and debris, when properly bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. DO NOT include construction/rennovation debris in your household trash cart.
